As of 1982 a handstamp was used in Blaubeuren commemorating the 900^th Anniversary of the local monastery. It is unclear as of which exact date the handstamp usage commenced. Nonetheless, the handstamp was withdrawn on April 13, 1982. The reason was two vertical lines in the area of the date location within the stamp. A new stamp, without the lines, was subsequently used until at least 1985 (the actual year of the 900^th anniversary).
