Hungarian Uprising
On December 8, 1959, Greece issued two stamps commemorating the Hungarian uprising in 1956. The stamps featured a likeness of then Prime Minister Imre Nagy (1896-1958). The stamps were withdrawn due to Hungarian protests and lost their franking validity on December 18, 1959.
