On September 1, 1962, North Vietnam issued a stamp commemorating the 2^nd Army Spartakiad of the 12 Socialist Countries. The stamp with no gum was with- drawn after 2 months. The assumed reasons were:

• The black-yellowish background color was interfering with some of the displayed flags

• North Korea did withdraw from the event

• The weight lifter was standing on top of some flags which was not appreciated by the affected countries
