Charity Of Flood Victims

In July/August 2007, extreme flooding occurred in Southeast Asia. Bangladesh was also affected. In addition to 500 fatalities, several million people fled their homes and hundreds of thousands fell ill with diarrhoea and dysentery.

On September 13, 2007, a sheetlet with 6 stamps was issued in Bangladesh to support the victims. One of the stamps featured Prime Minister Fakhruddin Ahmed. He had not given his consent to this. Therefore, the stamp was removed from the sheetlet before sale.
