Johanna Benson won the gold medal in the 200 meter race and the silver medal in the 100 meter race at the London 2012 Paralympic Games. In recognition of these achievements, a stamp was issued by the Namibian Post on October 31, 2012. However, the stamp was quickly withdrawn from counters due to a failure to obtain the Namibian Prime Minister's consent to issue the stamp. The stamp was then .re-issued on August 20, 2013.
