King Chalid

On April 3, 1977, Saudi Arabia issued two stamps commemorating King Chalid's second year of inauguration. The bottom part of the stamps featured two dates representing his coronation according to both the Islamic and Gregorian calendar. The dates are March 13, 1395, and March 25, 1975, respectively. The Gregorian date however had the arabic letter ٣ (=3) inscripted, thus the date reading March 23, 1975. The stamps were withdrawn and a corrected seried issued on August 18, 1977 with the arabic letter ٥ (=5).
