Withdrawn on the day of issue (November, 7, 1958), the stamp was again allowed for postage on the "40th anniversary of the November Revolution" from November 11, 1958 until November 21, 1958. After that, the stamp was finally declared invalid. The reason for the withdrawal was the depiction of the soldier who was mocked as "Pappchinese" (literal: "Chinese cardboard soldier" due to his physiognomic features.
