National Mourning Day

On August 12, 2009, Bangladesh issued a mini-sheet commemorating the National Mourning Day. The stamps of the mini-sheet represented Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the then Prime Minister of Bangladesh, and family members who were killed in a military coup on Augaut 15, 1975. The stamp in the lower right corner of the mini-sheet featured Abdul Nayeem Khan Rintu, who, as it turned out, was not a family member but a servant of the household. The mini-sheet was withdrawn after four month.
