In preparation for the IPO of the Dutch Post Office on June 29, 1998, one stamp per household with a face value of 0 cents was sent as a gift stamp. The stamp was only valid on the day of the IPO and could be used as a franking for a simple domestic letter for the equivalent of 80 cents.
