On the occasion of the state visit of French President Giscard D'Estaing, Cameroon issued a stamp on February 8, 1979. In the pictured flag of Cameroon, the yellow star was in the wrong position (in the green stripe instead of the red stripe). A corrected stamp was issued. It is unclear whether the wrong stamp was withdrawn or remained unissued.
