On June, 13, 1983, Vietnam issued stamps and a sheetlet commemorating the Olympic Summer Games of 1984 in Los Angeles. The stamps and the sheetlet were withdrawn from sale and declared invalid for franking in 1984, following the boycott of the Summer Games by communist countries, Vietnam amongst them.
