On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Asian Pacific Postal Union (APPU), Pakistan issued a hexagonal stamp on December 28, 2022. This had the flags of the member states depicted in the outer edges of the stamp. Three errors happened in the process. North Korea was not a member of APPU and the flag of Iran was missing. The Afghan flag showed the flag introduced by the Taliban in 2021, whose government was not recognized by Pakistan. The reverse of the first day cover shows the former Afghan flag. The stamp was therefore withdrawn from sale.
