On February 12, 2003, Hungary issued three commemorative stamps featuring famous Hungarian personalities. The 40Ft face value stamp was dedicated to Botanist Rezső Soó. The stamp featured, amongst other things, a portrait of Soó. The portrait was however perceived as being closer to another Hungarian Botanist (Ujvárosi Miklós). Therefore was the stamp withdrawn on March 31, 2003.
