In November 2004 the then private postal service provider “RIDAS-POST” (1999-2011) ordered two additional values (1 and 2 Cent face value) to be printed. The stamp with 2 Cent face value was however not printed with the intended word “Ausgleichsmarke” (literally: adjustment stamp) but with “Auffüllmarke” (literally: filling-up stamp).

The error was detected in time and a corrected version was printed. Nonetheless did some of the erroneous stamps find their way into the public. They were declared as valid for franking. The correct stamps were issued on November 22, 2004.
